Shannon Atkinson - Veterinary Technician

Having completed her Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management at Hartpury College in June 2019, Shannon became the most recent addition to the clinic based support team, following the winter season caring for Massey and Nelson's hunt horses. She also came to us multiple times for work experience whilst studying.
Shannon has a varied role, including office administration, assisting with in-patient care and also veterinary assistance for ambulatory appointments.

What you do in your spare time?
"I really enjoy riding my horse Finonnula, who I have brought on since buying her as a three year old. We have previously been involved in Pony Club, but now mainly we do fun rides and the occasional hunter trial."

Do you have any other pets?
"Yes, two working cocker spaniels, Diesel and Joey."

What do you like most about working at Rowe Equine?
"I love that no two days are the same."

What is the most challenging element of your role?
"The versatility of the work keeps me on my toes as you have to be prepared for anything."
